The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for a master multitasker ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT III with excellent communication skills and a great attitude to complete special projects requested by the Deputy Warden/Associate Deputy Warden/Administrator.
In this position you will also research and respond to public inquiries, draft letters for Deputy Warden’s signature, coordinate special projects events and meetings, and employee recognition at the Arizona State Prison Complex (ASPC) - Tucson / Rincon Unit.

- Researches and compiles reports, letters, inquiries and policy updates
- Manages unit budget including purchases and tracks expenditures
- Tracks disciplinary actions and prepares final outcome documents
- Completes projects as assigned
- Coordinates special event fund raisers
- Conducts the Capital Equipment Inventory
- Supervises subordinate staff
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge of:
- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules, and Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) policies and procedures
- Grammatical formatting using concise, specific, and grammatically correct non-technical language
- Organization movement, management of business practices and work processing
- Accounting, and budgeting procedures

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.

Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
