Schedule: Full Time Days, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7a-3:30p

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Preadmission Testing Department, including the Clinical Coordinator and the NP/PA. Perform diversified administrative and secretarial function for other departments as assigned, i.e. Quality Management, Anesthesia, Perfusion, and Administration. Acts as a multidisciplinary representative of Surgical Services in all interactions.

What will you do in this role:

· Compose correspondence memo, reports, etc. as appropriate. Types, formats and proof read a variety of materials including correspondence, reports, surveys, minutes of meetings, etc. Answers telephone, receives and delivers messages, routes calls and other departments as appropriate.

· Assembles and checks for the completeness of surgical, endoscopy, and procedural charts

· Assists staff by serving as a resource

· Maintains positive communication and professional relationship staff and physicians

· Responds appropriately to problems and concerns relative to department.

· Performs other administrative duties as required

What qualifications will you need:

· High school diploma or GED required

· Minimum of 1 year of clerical experience required, preferably in healthcare related area

    · Previous experience with Micro Soft Office and other computer skills required
