Administrative Clerk
Location: Northwest Houston, TX
Contract: 6-month assignment with potential for full-time conversion based on business needs and performance; conversion is not guaranteed
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
 
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Administrative Clerk to provide administrative and shipping support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will assist with data entry, order and shipping documentation, ERP transactions, document scanning, reporting, and general departmental support.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of administrative experience, strong data entry skills, previous experience working in an ERP system such as Oracle or JD Edwards (JDE), and the ability to quickly learn new computer systems.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry, documentation, scheduling, and communication coordination
  • Prepare and print shipping labels, packing slips, Bills of Lading (BOL), and customs/international shipping documentation
  • Confirm shipments within an ERP system such as JD Edwards
  • Scan shipping and receiving documentation into shared drives and document scanning systems
  • Process requests and prepare orders for the shipping area
  • Run Ship Not Invoiced (SNI) reports and follow up with billing regarding outstanding invoices
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support inventory control and shipping-related administrative processes
  • Maintain organized workstations, shipping areas, shelves, and supply areas
  • Follow established procedures, safety requirements, and company standards
  • Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned
  • Comply with all company and HSE policies and procedures
 
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience
  • Previous data entry experience
  • Previous experience using an ERP system, such as Oracle or JD Edwards
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
  • Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Immediate availability to start if selected
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment
  • Experience supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience with inventory control and equipment maintenance processes
 
Work Environment
This position works within a factory/manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary. The role may require standing, walking, sitting, bending/stooping, and repetitive movement throughout the workday.

While overtime is not currently expected, candidates should have flexibility to work overtime or weekends if business needs change.
