AP Coordinator

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume department. This role focuses on requesting daily remittances and funds, reviewing AP entries for accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and comfortable asking questions and escalating concerns when something does not look right.

Please note: This position does not involve issuing payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Request remittances and funds daily for a high-volume claims department.

• Review accounts payable entries for accuracy and identify discrepancies.

• Investigate questionable items and escalate issues rather than assuming entries are correct.

• Work within custom internal systems, with training provided.

• Follow established procedures and collaborate with on-site leadership.

• Maintain accurate documentation and track daily progress.

• Use Excel to review information, perform calculations, and identify inconsistencies.

Required Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Basic accounting knowledge and the ability to recognize discrepancies.

• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas; pivot tables are a plus.

• Professional communication skills and the ability to ask questions and confirm understanding.

• Ability to work onsite daily, initially.

• Dependable, accountable, and comfortable working independently in a quiet office environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Previous Accounts Payable experience.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
