Penmac Staffing is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a client company in Springfield, Missouri. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment.Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related accounting, accounts payable, or office experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions
- Experience with CSD software is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy before payment
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Process customer and vendor credits
- Index and maintain accounts payable records
- Answer and resolve branch inquiries related to accounts payable, customer accounts, inventory, returns, and credits
- Verify inventory purchases made by company credit card
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
