Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced architect/construction professional who thrives during the construction phase, can manage RFIs, submittals, and field issues, and serve as HMC's on-site representative to ensure projects are built according to design intent. The Construction Administrator supports the bidding and construction phases of medium- to large-scale projects, ensuring quality, coordination, and compliance throughout construction. This role is responsible for responding to construction inquiries, reviewing submittals and field documentation, and monitoring projects to ensure they are built in accordance with the contract documents. The Construction Administrator works under the direction of the Senior Construction Administrator, Senior Project Manager, or Principal-in-Charge (PIC) and maintains regular interaction with clients, consultants, and contractors.
The ideal candidate will bring experience with California DSA-regulated projects and a strong understanding of DSA processes, documentation, compliance requirements, and construction administration. While experience gained within an architectural practice is preferred, candidates with meaningful DSA experience from engineering,
The position is located in our Sacramento, CA office. The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. You will have the opportunity to work remote Mondays and Fridays and will be required to come into the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The salary range for this position is $85,065 - $127,281.
The actual salary offered for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate’s qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case. The salary range listed above does not include other compensation elements such as discretionary bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership grants, paid time off, medical insurance, and other wage and benefit opportunities.
