Architectural Job Captain

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Job Captain to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex architectural projects. This role is responsible for producing and coordinating construction documents, collaborating with consultants, and ensuring projects meet applicable building codes, regulations, and client requirements throughout all phases of design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate construction documents from schematic design through construction administration and project closeout.
  • Collaborate with structural, MEP, and specialty consultants to ensure accurate and fully coordinated project documentation.
  • Perform quality control reviews to maintain document accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and field-related issues during construction.
  • Support project teams in resolving technical design and construction challenges.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Assist with project coordination, permitting, and consultant communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of architectural experience, preferably on complex or highly regulated project types.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, building systems, and project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Revit and architectural production workflows.
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Architectural license or pursuit of licensure is preferred.
