Job Title: ASL Interpreter (Per Diem)Location: Farmersville, CAEmployment Type: Per Diem / As-Needed
Schedule & Duration:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: End of ESY (Extended School Year)
- Called in on an as-needed, day‑by‑day basis
Responsibilities:
- Provide American Sign Language interpretation for students in classroom and school activities
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Support student participation in academic and social settings
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications:
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) – require a minimum score (often 3.5 or higher) for K–12 settings
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Prior experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to varying classroom environments
