Job Description:

Do you stay on top of what's trending across media, social platforms and culture? Are you energized by organization, storytelling, and helping bring integrated communications programs to life?

As an Assistant Account Executive, Brand at Zeno, you will support day-to-day account management activities across a diverse portfolio of clients. Working closely with account teams, you will help execute earned media programs, monitor industry conversations, support content development, and contribute to campaigns that drive impactful results for clients. This is an opportunity to build a strong foundation in public relations while working in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment.

Unlike a highly specialized role, this position offers broad exposure to core communications disciplines, including media relations, content development, social media monitoring, reporting, research and client support-providing valuable experience across multiple aspects of the communications industry.

About the Role:

  • Media Monitoring & Reporting: Track media coverage, maintain media lists and monitoring reports, and help compile client, competitor and industry insights that inform account strategy.
  • Account Coordination & Execution: Partner with team members to support the execution of integrated communications programs, media outreach efforts, campaigns, initiatives and events.
  • Content Development: Assist with researching, drafting, editing and proofreading a variety of communications materials, including pitch emails, media advisories, fact sheets, biographies, reports and other client-facing content.
  • Media Relations Support: Help coordinate pitching activities, manage media tracking and support proactive outreach efforts that contribute to strong earned media results.
  • Social & Industry Intelligence: Monitor social media channels and industry conversations, helping teams identify relevant trends, opportunities and insights that support client objectives.
  • Agency Collaboration & Growth: Contribute to new business efforts and collaborate across teams while developing foundational communications and client service skills.

About You:

  • 0-2 years of experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
  • Strong interest in brand communications, media relations and the evolving communications landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, accurate and engaging content.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of public relations fundamentals and an understanding of how communications activities support broader client goals.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and an interest in how digital conversations influence brands and audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and eager to learn, with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Driven to consistently meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work and supporting team success.
