Job Description

Overview

Administrative Assistant Neurosurgery (Onsite)

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

Location: Riley Hospital for Children

This is a highly visible administrative role supporting the Chief of Neurosurgery at Riley Hospital for Children. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and executive-level administrative skills, a calm and professional presence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, pediatric healthcare environment.

Role Overview

Provides basic administrative and technical support for leaders and teams. Manages schedules and calendars, coordinates meetings, supports daily administrative operations, and handles inquiries as appropriate. Work is performed with basic guidance and direction, with accountability for accuracy, discretion, and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule surgeries and clinic appointments
  • Coordinate schedules and meetings for physician leaders
  • Assist with patient check-out and appointment coordination
  • Schedule imaging and referrals
  • Support other administrative staff as needed
  • Maintain and update trackers, spreadsheets, and reports
  • Collaborate effectively with providers, service lines, and support teams
  • Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information

Qualifications
