Assistant Manager - Collections

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n Manage daily Credit & Collections activities and ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts.\n Drive focused actions on high-value and critical overdue accounts to reduce DSO and improve cash flow.\n Review past-due customers, escalate critical cases, and participate in controller and forecast meetings.\n Lead and manage a team of 10\u201315 members, including performance reviews, quality checks, training plans, and team development.\n Prepare Top 20 customer files, MIS dashboards, daily/weekly/monthly reports, and month-end reporting.\n Prepare and review forecast targets, analyze collection and dispute performance, and take corrective actions where required.\n Review credit limit requests, credit hold reports, proforma invoice requests, and support credit decision-making as per guidelines.\n Ensure credit and rebill cases, dispute mailbox emails, re-age requests, and customer account issues are handled within SLAs.\n Coordinate with business controllers, finance teams, collectors, and internal stakeholders for issue resolution and overdue reduction.\n Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation of repetitive activities such as reminders, ageing reports, customer follow-ups, and MIS reporting.\n \nWhat You Need to Succeed\n \nEducation\n\n Bachelor's degree in commerce\n MBA / Postgraduate qualification in Finance will be an added advantage\n 5-8 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, Cash Application, Dispute Management, or Order-to-Cash process.\n \nTechnical Skills\n\n Strong knowledge of Credit & Collections and Accounts Receivable processes.\n Good understanding of ageing, past dues, DSO, credit limits, deductions, and cash collection.\n Strong analytical and reporting skills.\n Ability to review large customer accounts and identify risks.\n Good working knowledge of SAP, CRM, Excel, and MIS reporting tools.\n Ability to manage deadlines during month-end and reporting cycles.\n \nSoft Skills\n\n Fluency in English (written and spoken)\n Good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)\n Stakeholder management skills.\n Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.\n Strong follow-up and escalation management skills.\n Ability to support team members in query resolution and process improvement.\n Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and business stakeholders.\n \nOur Offer to You\n\n "One Team" that thrives on collaboration and innovation.\n Opportunities to work with Global teams.\n An open, fair and inclusive environment\n Multitude of learning and growth opportunities\n Medical insurance for you & your family, with access to Telemedicine application\n A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation.\n \nAbout Mettler Toledo\n \nMETTLER TOLEDO is a global leader in precision instruments and services.
