DescriptionAssistant Project Managers are responsible for assisting project managers in the management of multiple construction project sites, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, as well as assisting with general project-related administrative duties.Responsibilities:Oversee the daily administration of projectsMaintains projects in an orderly/organized manner to better ensure a safe and productive worksiteManages and schedules manpower, equipment, material delivery, and subcontractorsManages all related/required traffic control operations and safetyPlans, directs, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and within or below budgetManage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safety, profit, and scheduling as well as customer satisfactionEmploys best practices in planning and organizing work to maximize potential crew productivity and equipment utilization levelsWork harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all timesFollow directions and instructions from supervisorsPerform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.Work within defined standards of accuracyWork in a variety of weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from over 85 degrees to below 40 degreesPerform all other duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or other) or Construction Management, and/or 3+ years of work experienceMultiple levels of decision-making experience, managing construction projects, and working with owners and developers.Strong computer skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to administer several tasks independently and concurrently, with ongoing changes in priorityTeam player with self-confidence and professional presenceHigh degree of maturity and business judgmentAbility to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds unassisted.Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction.)Ability to travel as requested.Preferred Qualifications:Strong Viewpoint and HCSS (HeavyBid) software skillsExperience with construction scheduling programs.
