What You'll Do
Support the Project Team
- Deliver smaller projects or portions of larger ones under the guidance of the Project Manager
- Serve as a point of contact with architects and engineers to resolve field coordination items through RFIs
- Organize and lead project meetings (OAC, subcontractor coordination, safety and staff meetings), and distribute agendas and minutes
Manage Changes and Financials
- Help prepare bid packages and communicate scope, pricing and alternates to bidders during buyout
- Write and issue subcontractor and owner change orders and change proposals
- Help maintain the job cost report and budget, prepare monthly projections, and review, code and approve invoices and pay applications
Keep the Schedule and Submittals Moving
- Help manage and update the project schedule as changes come up
- Review submittals and shop drawings for accuracy
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, including the owner's direct vendors, and manage assigned subcontractor relationships
Own the Documentation
- Maintain project logs and document control, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, deliveries, permits, inspections and photos
- Distribute updated drawings, approved submittals, RFI responses and other project information to the team
- Help compile closeout and warranty documents
Protect Safety, Quality and Compliance
- Work with the Superintendent on site logistics, including safety, deliveries, security and public protection
- Support quality control by cross-checking subcontractor work in the field and taking field measurements as needed
- Coordinate permit and inspection documentation, keep permits in good standing, and report safety concerns
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years of related experience, or 5 years of related experience
- The ability to read and understand contract documents, drawings and specifications
- Strong organization and communication skills
- A positive attitude and a professional, courteous approach with your team, subcontractors and customers
