As Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), Behavioral Health at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, you’ll help lead a compassionate, patient-centered team dedicated to supporting individuals across the lifespan through acute behavioral health and substance use treatment services. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse inpatient Behavioral Health program that includes Geriatric, General Adult Intensive Management, Child & Adolescent, and Dual Diagnosis populations.
In this role, you’ll provide both clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level, supporting team members through mentorship, staffing coordination, performance management, and daily operational oversight while helping ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality therapeutic care.
You’ll join a supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary team that values patient safety, teamwork, and compassionate care during some of patients’ most vulnerable moments. With a 7:1 patient-to-RN ratio, this leader plays an important role in maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, supporting crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving quality patient outcomes and team engagement.
As a visible and approachable leader, you’ll help foster a culture centered around accountability, teamwork, and therapeutic excellence while supporting patients experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, life stressors, and stress-related physical symptoms.
