Wheat s End Cafe & Bakery, a 100% gluten-free bakery in Chicago, is looking to hire two reliable and motivated full-time employees who are interested in learning professional baking and growing into long-term positions with our team.

Professional baking experience is not required. We are looking for dependable, hardworking people who are willing to learn, follow recipes carefully, work efficiently, and take pride in producing consistent, high-quality products.

• 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
  

• Full-time position
  

New employees will begin by learning how to prepare two or three of our bakery products. Our goal is for each employee to become comfortable preparing seven of our most popular products within approximately six months.

Responsibilities will include:

• Measuring and preparing ingredients
  

• Following detailed recipes and production procedures
  

• Mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing products
  

• Preparing trays, tools, and equipment
  

• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  

• Following food-safety and allergen-control procedures
  

• Working closely with our experienced baker during training
  

• Taking on additional responsibilities as skills and experience grow
  

• Learning to work independently after completing training
  

• No professional baking experience required
  

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  

• Able to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  

• Interested in learning professional baking
  

• Comfortable standing and working throughout an eight-hour shift
  

• Able to lift bakery ingredients, supplies, and trays
  

• Able to work well as part of a team
  

• Interested in a stable, long-term position
  

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, bakery, or food-production experience is helpful but not required
  

• Starting pay: $18 per hour
