    BAS Project Engineer – Hybrid (2 Days Office / 3 Days Remote) – $95K–$120K + Bonus – Leading Building Automation & Energy Controls Firm

The team is looking for a driven BAS Project Engineer to assist with the design, programming, and delivery of sophisticated building automation systems utilized in commercial and mission-critical applications.

    With more than 300 professionals across multiple regional offices, this company promotes a collaborative and progressive work environment, offering hybrid flexibility — working 2 days onsite and 3 days remote each week.

    Position Details

    • Title: BAS Project Engineer
    • Schedule: Hybrid (2 Days in Office / 3 Days Remote)
    • Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000 Base + Bonus Incentives
    • Locations: Jessup, MD | Richmond, VA | Norfolk, VA | Pittsburgh, PA
    • Employment Type: Full-Time

    • BAS Project Engineer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and program DDC/BAS control systems used for HVAC and energy management applications
    • Develop sequences of operation, wiring diagrams, and detailed project documentation
    • Review vendor submittals and verify engineered bills of material for accuracy
    • Produce installation packages, submittal documentation, and final as-built records
    • Assist with system commissioning, graphics development, and end-user training
    • Offer technical direction to internal teams, subcontractors, and client partners
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they remain on schedule and meet defined requirements

    Requirements

    • Experience with Building Automation or HVAC control systems
    • Proficiency with programming tools (DDC, PLC, or similar automation platforms)
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or comparable engineering software
    • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid office/remote work model
