About the Role:
Bridge Community Development Center Mississippi is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant/Behavior Support specialist to join our team in Greenville, MS. Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct personal care assistance to individuals in home and community-based settings
  • Implement individualized behavior support plans to promote positive outcomes
  • Assist clients with daily living activities including hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
  • Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any incidents accurately
  • Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments, activities, and outings
  • Collaborate with care teams, families, and supervisors to ensure consistent, person-centered support
  • Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications in personal care or behavioral support preferred
  • Prior experience in personal care, behavioral health, or human services strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of behavior support strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based assignments
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to person-centered care
