Title: Benefits Specialist

Type of Employment: Contract to Hire

Location: South Austin, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Pay: $23 - $26 / hour during contract period ($60K–$65K upon conversion)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to join a growing HR team. This is a key role supporting benefits administration and HR systems during an exciting transition from UKG to Dayforce. The ideal candidate is a true subject matter expert in benefits who can take initiative, manage projects, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and vendor coordination
• Handle leave of absence processes including FMLA, ADA, and disability
• Support open enrollment and respond to employee benefits inquiries
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations
• Partner with payroll and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and deductions
• Assist with HR reporting, documentation, and system optimization

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of dedicated benefits experience (must have a benefits-focused title)
• Strong experience working within an HRIS system (Dayforce experience is a plus)
• Solid understanding of benefits laws, compliance, and leave administration
• Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
• SHRM certification is a plus (not required)
