Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative - Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Support patients with medications and health insurance assistance as part of the Ryan White Grant programs.
  • Meet with eligible clients to gather necessary documentation for program enrollment.
  • Process applications and payments efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain current and accurate records of enrolled clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to ensure ongoing eligibility and engagement.
  • Monitor incoming requests and take timely action.
  • Document patient care activities comprehensively in electronic records.
  • Validate data points to support grant standards and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Identify and address concerns, collaborating with service providers to support clients.
  • Conduct reviews and audits to maintain reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with peers and colleagues to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in special projects and other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum (1) year of healthcare experience OR Minimum (3) years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV disease and medications to treat HIV and associated illness desired
  • Insurance and/or COBRA knowledge
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
  • Bilingual-Spanish preferred
