Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative- Montrose (Job Overview)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM) | Rotating Saturdays (8AM-3:30PM)
Join our family as a Patient Assistance Representative and help Legacy clients access medications and medical coverage through programs supported by the Ryan White Grant. You will provide compassionate guidance as eligible clients navigate the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), Local Pharmacy Assistance Program (LPAP), Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA), Health Insurance Assistance, and manufacturer-supported Patient Assistance Programs (PAP).
Your careful documentation, timely follow-up, and caring communication will help reduce barriers to treatment. By ensuring program funds are used appropriately and clients receive the assistance they need, you will make a meaningful difference in community healthcare and help strengthen continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of the various programs under the Ryan White Grant and support patients with medications and health insurance assistance based on the specific role.
- As a Patient Assistance Representative, support ADAP, LPAP, and EFA programs.
- As an Insurance Assistance Representative, support health insurance premium and cost-sharing assistance, including co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and Medicare Part D premiums.
- Meet with clients who are eligible for the programs to obtain the appropriate documentation for enrollment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the requirements of all programs and process appropriate applications or payments in a timely manner.
- Maintain a current and accurate list of people enrolled in the program.
- Conduct routine and regular communication with the identified client list and maintain appropriate documentation of contact.
- Complete monthly calls to ensure client engagement and maintenance of eligibility.
- Monitor all incoming requests and take appropriate and timely action.
- Document patient care activities in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner in all applicable electronic records, including but not limited to Centricity, Pioneer, ARIES, and the Excel log, as appropriate.
- Perform timely validation of required data points to support grant standards.
- Complete month-end report reconciliation and ensure encounters are reported accurately.
- Identify concerns and issues and share them with appropriate service providers supporting the client, using established documentation processes.
- Perform reviews and audits as assigned to support accurate reporting on a regular and routine basis.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and those providing care to patients while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma required
Required Years of Experience
- Minimum (1) year of healthcare experience OR Minimum (3) years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV disease and medications to treat HIV and associated illness desired
- Insurance and/or COBRA knowledge
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
