Body Shop Technician

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Pay Rate: $40.00/hour + Full Benefits

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

• Minimum 5 years of body shop experience
• Experience with fiberglass repair
• Proficient in body panel repair and replacement
• Ability to perform paint preparation and finishing work
• Experience working on commercial vehicles, buses, or fleet vehicles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Repair collision and cosmetic damage on school buses and paratransit vehicles
• Perform fiberglass repairs and restorations
• Replace and repair body panels, skirting, wheel housings, and related components
• Prepare vehicles for painting and assist with refinishing activities
• Work closely with fleet maintenance staff to minimize vehicle downtime
• Maintain a safe and organized work area

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Experience working on school buses, transit buses, or commercial fleet vehicles
• Basic fabrication skills
• Ability and willingness to train and mentor other employees in body repair techniques
