Business Development Intern Strategic Resources, Inc. SRI is seeking a Business Development Intern to join our team.
Overview: The Business Development Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the growth initiatives of our company by identifying new market opportunities and assisting in the development of strategic partnerships. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in market research, lead generation, and client relationship management, contributing directly to the expansion of our customer base. The intern will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to analyze industry trends and competitor activities, helping to shape effective business strategies. Through active participation in meetings and project planning, the intern will gain valuable insights into the business development lifecycle and contribute to the execution of outreach campaigns. Ultimately, this role aims to equip the intern with practical skills and knowledge that foster professional growth while driving measurable business results.
Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated interest in business development or sales.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot. Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools. Previous internship or work experience in sales, marketing, or business development. Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and emerging industry trends. Assist in generating and qualifying leads through various channels including digital platforms and networking events. Support the preparation of presentations, proposals, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with the BD team to develop and implement outreach strategies. Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track interactions and progress. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve business development processes. Monitor competitor activities and provide insights to help refine business approaches.
Period of Performance: 10-20 hours per week 3-6 months, with possible extension based on performance and business need Scheduled coordinated with academic commitments, if applicable.
