Business Development Manager, Market Data & Analytics Sales

We're partnering with a globally recognized financial markets infrastructure and data organization as they continue to expand their North Americananalytics business. This is an opportunity to join a well-established market leader and take ownership of a large territory across the U.S. and Canada, selling highly specialized market data and analytics solutions to some of the most sophisticated participants in global financial markets.

This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who understands the market data ecosystem, enjoys building new business, and is comfortable engaging with trading, research, and investment teams across institutional finance.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth across a designated territory in the U.S. and Canada
• Develop relationships with hedge funds, asset managers, banks, broker-dealers, proprietary trading firms, quantitative trading firms, and other institutional market participants
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and opportunity development through negotiation and close
• Identify opportunities to expand adoption of historical market data, analytical datasets, and other data-driven solutions
• Partner closely with product, data, and commercial teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quota-carrying sales or business development experience within capital markets, financial data, market structure, or financial technology
• Experience selling market data, exchange data, financial data, analytics solutions, index products, data feeds, data licensing solutions, or related offerings
• Proven track record of generating new business and winning new client relationships
• Existing relationships across buy-side and/or sell-side institutions
• Experience selling into institutional clients such as hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading firms, or quantitative investment firms
• Strong understanding of how trading, investment, research, and analytics teams utilize market data
• Ability to independently manage a territory and complex sales process
• Strong commercial, presentation, and relationship-building skills
