Greystones Group has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager, to lead the growth and adoption of our suite of artificial intelligence solutions across the Department of War (DoW). This role will support the full capture and sales cycle (prospecting, capture, and close), selling AI-enabled mission planning, logistics, analytics, and decision-support products directly to Navy and Army program offices, systems commands, and end users. This is a relationship-driven, quota-carrying role for someone who is proactive, mission-focused, and comfortable operating across both the operational and acquisition communities.

 

Competitive base salary of $130,000–$150,000, plus a performance-based commission structure with strong earning potential.

Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates based on the East Coast who can travel to the Washington, D.C. area as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the full sales cycle for Greystones’ innovative AI solutions across the Department of War, with a primary focus on the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. Build relationships with key decision-makers and lead opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through solution demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and successful close.
  • Build and grow a strong pipeline by developing meaningful relationships with key decision-makers across program offices, systems commands, combatant commands, and the broader defense community.
  • Shape and execute account and growth strategies that connect Greystones’ AI solutions with funded programs, emerging mission needs, and new opportunities across the defense market.
  •  Work directly with warfighters, analysts, and Government leaders to understand their challenges and demonstrate how Greystones’ AI capabilities can deliver real mission impact.
  •  Partner with our engineering and technical teams to bring customer opportunities to life through compelling demonstrations, pilots, and proofs of concept.
  •  Represent Greystones at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements while building trusted, long-term relationships across the defense community.
  • Collaborate with capture, proposal, and technical teams to pursue strategic opportunities and support RFIs, sources sought, and RFP responses.
  • Own your pipeline and sales forecast, using CRM insights to track opportunities, prioritize efforts, and communicate progress to leadership.
  • Drive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding sales and bookings goals while identifying new opportunities to expand Greystones’ presence across the defense market.

 

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the DoW acquisition lifecycle, and government contracting.
  • Experience engaging with DoW, including systems commands, or acquisition organizations, with the ability to build trusted relationships with government stakeholders.
  • Experience selling, acquiring, or fielding technology, software, or AI/analytics solutions in a government or enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with contract vehicles and pathways such as OTAs, SBIR/STTR, GSA, and IDIQs.
  • Willingness to travel to various commands as needed (up to 25%).
  • Bachelor's degree; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Military experience, particularly in the U.S. Army or U.S. Navy, with a background in defense acquisition is preferred.
