Business Support Specialist

Rockford Systems is seeking an experienced Business Support Specialist to support multi-divisional company operations. This role is fully in-office and plays a key role in driving revenue, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting our commitment to industry-leading quality and safety-focused solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers via phone and email

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business

Generate and follow up on quotes, pricing, and sales orders

Support business development activities to include creating detailed outbound product, service, and project quotes

Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities

Accurately enter and manage orders in internal systems

Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and accounting to ensure timely fulfillment

Build and Maintain knowledge of products, services, and applicable safety standards

Provide exemplary customer service

Other duties as needed to meet business demands

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

· Must be able to demonstrate a high level of both collaborative and customer-facing skills

· Able to work effectively, independently and as part of a team

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Must possess and display advanced analytical reasoning and proactive problem-solving skills

· Adept in navigating through challenging tasks or situations

· Skilled in managing multiple duties and prioritizing items requiring urgent attention

· Detailed oriented, organized, and flexible

· Willingness to learn and gain knowledge on products & services, processes, and systems used

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum of 5 years of engaged B2B experience

· Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and CRM or ERP systems

· Safety knowledge is a plus, particularly in industrial or manufacturing environments

· Strong attention to detail and follow‑through

· Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

This position reports to the Rockford office Monday- Friday 8am-5pm.
