Position Description
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is hiring a Capital Projects Coordinator to join the Emergency Contracting team in Construction Management Division. In this fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in coordinating utility requirements for emergency repair projects across Seattle. You will be responsible for creating and managing emergency construction contracts, including repairs to drainage and wastewater, water systems, solid waste facility construction contracts, between SPU and construction contract teams who respond and repair SPU assets that have failed and caused a threat to health and safety. The duties of the position include defining and communicating utility system repair requirements, coordinating the options analysis, design and permitting, contracting and construction contract administration and inspecting construction of our emergency projects. You will also coordinate our final street restoration program with design professionals and permit the improvements with SDOT. This position reports to the Emergency Program Supervising Senior Engineer and a Senior CPC.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in project or construction management, or a related field.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
OR: A combination of education, training, certification, and experience that provides the necessary background to perform the role.

Workplace Environment: This position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Employees will be required to come into the office three times a week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
The full salary range for this position is $55.96 - $65.41 per hour.
