Position OverviewThe organization is seeking a Cardiac Nurse Practitioner to join its growing Cardiac Electrophysiology team in Shelton, Connecticut.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity focused on providing comprehensive care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Cardiac Nurse Practitioner will work closely with electrophysiologists and the broader cardiology team to support evaluation, treatment planning, procedural care, and long-term management of patients with arrhythmias and implantable cardiac devices.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative and highly specialized cardiovascular program equipped with advanced technology and strong clinical support.

Experienced cardiac APPs as well as new graduates with relevant cardiology training are encouraged to apply.

Essential ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, and conduction disordersConduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinationsCollaborate with electrophysiologists in the management of patients requiring pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devicesAssist with pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care for electrophysiology studies and ablation proceduresInterpret diagnostic studies including ECGs, Holter monitors, telemetry data, and device interrogationsProvide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up careCoordinate care with cardiology, primary care, and hospital-based teams to ensure continuity of careMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices

QualificationsMaster’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent APRN licensure or eligibility for licensure in ConnecticutBoard Certification as a Nurse Practitioner requiredPrior cardiology or electrophysiology experience preferredACLS certification preferredStrong clinical assessment and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular teamCommitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
