About the Facility – Evans Army Community Hospital

Evans Army Community Hospital is a state-of-the-art military medical center serving the Fort Carson community, including active-duty service members, retirees, and their families. As part of the Defense Health Agency, Evans ACH delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care across a wide range of specialties including primary care, surgery, radiology, gastroenterology, physical therapy, behavioral health, and women’s services. Responsibilities

• Perform cardiopulmonary functions including electrocardiograms (EKGs), exercise stress testing, and ambulatory electrocardiographic monitoring
• Prepare and instruct patients to use equipment or perform procedures; monitor data display on physiological equipment
• Obtain and record vital signs and biometric information
• Perform user maintenance on equipment; adhere to infection control and universal precautions
• Identify abnormalities during testing and determine the need for additional scans
• Schedule patients for evaluations, procedures, and treatments; maintain records and reports
• Perform daily warm-up and quality control checks on all cardiac equipment
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment to manufacturer specifications
• Determine inventory levels of disposable supplies; stock accordingly and prepare equipment requisitions

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited cardiopulmonary laboratory specialist course. Completion of a basic dysrhythmia course. Certified Cardiology Technician (CCT).
• Experience: Minimum 12 months of experience with all types of equipment related to the Cardiac Evaluation and Therapeutic Section within the past 3 years.
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Board Certification: CCT (Certified Cardiology Technician).
• Licensure: N/A (non-credentialed position).
• U.S. Citizenship required

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 0700–1600 (8-hour shifts). 60-minute uncompensated lunch.
