The Opportunity

What You'll Do
- Help elderly clients with daily personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene so they can remain safe and comfortable at home.
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, healthy living environment.
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support to reduce loneliness and improve quality of life.
- Run local errands, provide transportation as needed, and assist with basic notetaking or reminders to help clients stay organized.
- Follow individualized care plans, document your visits using your cell phone to clock in and out, and communicate any changes in client condition to the office.
What Success Looks Like
- Within your first few months, your clients and their families feel they can rely on you for consistent, compassionate care and clear communication.
- You confidently follow each client’s care plan, complete required documentation on time, and stay in regular touch with the office about schedule or care needs.
- You maintain a high level of professionalism by arriving on time, using PPE as required, and representing Advantage Home Care’s values in each home you visit.
- You build a stable schedule of clients close to home and are recognized for your reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, patient, and respectful individuals who genuinely enjoy helping elderly people live with dignity and independence.
- At least 6 months of work experience in any job, with two good references and a record of showing up dependably.
- A clean background check, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a cell phone for clocking in and out of shifts.
- Comfort with tasks like bathing assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, and running errands, plus a willingness to complete paid training.
Compensation and Benefits
- Full-time caregivers earn $37,000 – $42,000 per year, with shift differentials for weekends, evenings, overnights, and rural clients.
- Paid training (small classes and online), sick leave, health insurance after 90 days, PTO and 401(k) after one year, free PPE, mileage reimbursement, paid travel time between clients, flexible schedule options, referral bonuses, and opportunities to work close to home.
