Position Summary


As our Ophthalmic Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our physicians by accurately documenting patient visits, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our electronic health records. If you're someone who thrives in a clinical environment, learns quickly, and enjoys working closely with a medical team, we want to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities


  • Accurately document patient visits in real time during ophthalmology and optometry appointments

  • Navigate and update our electronic health records (EHR) system efficiently

  • Print lab reports, treatment summaries, and assist with chart management

  • Communicate professionally with doctors, patients, and staff

  • Coordinate with providers to complete and submit medical records

  • Assist with additional administrative or clinical support tasks as needed

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience as a medical assistant or ophthalmic scribe preferred

  • Strong computer, typing, and transcription skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and note-taking accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy clinical setting

  • A desire to learn and grow within the medical field
