Help Residents Regain the Skills That Matter Most

Independence Rehab is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Everett Transitional Care Services, both located inside Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

In this role, you'll work closely with residents recovering from illness, injury, or hospitalization-helping them rebuild the everyday skills needed for independence. From dressing and grooming to cooking and mobility tasks, your work directly improves quality of life.

If you enjoy working with older adults and want to be part of a supportive therapy team, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in a meaningful setting.

Your Role on the Therapy Team

As a COTA, you'll partner with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to deliver therapy that helps residents return to safe, functional living.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Carrying out treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
• Helping residents regain independence with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Providing therapeutic exercises and functional task training
• Teaching safe techniques for dressing, grooming, bathing, and mobility
• Assisting patients with adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Tracking patient progress and documenting therapy sessions
• Communicating updates to the supervising OT and care team
• Working alongside PT, speech therapy, and nursing staff to support patient recovery

Every day offers the chance to help someone regain abilities that make daily life possible.
