Chef/Cook

Job Overview:

Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join our team at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center.This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high-quality care. Culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Bunrsville, MN.  

 

This full-time culinary services position includes; 

• 48 hours per two weeks
• Shift: 11:30 am-7:30 pm. Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Every other weekend
• Full Benefits. Reliable schedule

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
• Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
• Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
• Set up line service
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
• Assists with special events
• Assists the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff 

Required Qualifications

• One to Three Years
• Must be 18+ years old
• Food Handlers certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days of start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Arts or Vocational/Technical Training - Food Service
• Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications
• Food Protection Manager certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days or
• Certified Food Protection Manager certificate (CFPM) Must be issued by the State of Minnesota for locations in the state of MN within 90 Days

Qualifications:

$21.84- $30.83 Hourly
