Lead Electrical Estimating for a Growing Austin Contractor

A highly respected electrical contractor with over 40 years of success and $50M+ in annual revenue is seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Estimator to lead and oversee its estimating operations.

This is a unique opportunity to join a financially stable company with a strong reputation in the Austin market while working 100% remotely from anywhere in Texas. As a key member of the leadership team, you will help drive bid strategy, mentor estimators, and play an integral role in the company's continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the estimating department
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
• Oversee the estimating process from opportunity identification through bid submission and award
• Collaborate with project managers, executives, vendors, and subcontractors
• Develop pricing strategies and evaluate project risks
• Mentor and support estimating team members
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, and industry partners

Qualifications

• Extensive electrical estimating experience
• Leadership experience within an estimating department
• Strong background in commercial electrical construction
• Experience estimating large-scale commercial, healthcare, or industrial projects
• Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
