Innovation Zone Teacher / Technology Coordinator

Full Time 2026-2027 School Year

St. Raphael Academy is seeking an Innovation Zone Teacher and Technology Coordinator for the 2026-2027 Academic Year, a role which entails both classroom instruction and support with managing technology throughout the school. This course is a hands-on science and technology course designed to introduce PK-Grade 3 students to foundational science concepts and technology skills. The Innovation Zone Teacher must have strong classroom management skills, demonstrate creativity and initiative in creating age-appropriate lessons, and activities and in seeking curriculum resources to scaffold the course.

In addition to providing classroom instruction for students, the Innovation Zone Teacher serves as the building's Technology Coordinator. This requires a strong understanding of educational technology. The Technology Coordinator manages the physical hardware and software used throughout the building, including Google accounts, Clever accounts, and all Chromebooks, iPads, and laptops.

The Technology Coordinator also supports the school with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly and collaborates with school administration regarding status of inventory and needs for device replacement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of fostering lay leadership in the Catholic Church.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer technology and related educational technology

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues in a timely manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Practicing Roman Catholic, in good standing
  • Demonstrated experience teaching in a Catholic School
  • Successful prior teaching experience
  • Experience with device management (e.g., Chromebooks, iPads, laptops)
  • Familiarity with educational software, assessment platforms, and classroom technology tools
