    Description

Join Texas Injection Molding and connect customers to the production floor

Grow your career where commercial excellence meets operational precision. In this hybrid client services and scheduling role, you guide each order from promise to proof—coordinating with teams across the plant and communicating with customers every step of the way.

    Why this role matters

    • Protects customer commitments by aligning quotes, acknowledgments, delivery dates, and terms with real-time production capacity.
    • Translates market signals and schedule changes into proactive action to avoid stockouts and delays.
    • Turns issues into solutions through rapid, coordinated problem-solving.

    What you will do

    • Own relationships for assigned accounts—understand needs, handle concerns, and ensure satisfaction with our services.
    • Lead day-to-day customer communications: confirm quotes, acknowledge orders, report delivery status, and maintain regular correspondence.
    • Attend daily production meetings; manage orders end-to-end from entry through shipment; provide clear status to internal teams and customers.
    • Anticipate demand or schedule shifts that could affect supply; communicate early to keep customers whole.
    • Negotiate delivery dates and pricing with non-technical stakeholders using plain, direct language.
    • Jump on issues like quality defects or missed deliveries; coordinate across teams to minimize impact.
    • Support purchasing by securing raw materials, components, and packaging at or below standard pricing with on-time receipts.

    Order administration and shipping

    • Enter sales orders in both accounting and manufacturing systems.
    • Maintain organized records and files.
    • Create packing lists to support on-time shipments.

    Reporting and customer visibility

    • Build and share performance metrics for on-time delivery, returns, and customer satisfaction surveys with the Quality Department and leadership.
    • Deliver weekly reports to customers detailing order status and inventory levels.

    Production planning partnership

    • Work with Production and Production Planning to schedule runs from work orders and meet production goals.
    • Prepare complete production packets: work order, labels, mold change forms, operator cards, and daily production reports.
    • Track WIP, materials, and potential risks; ensure personnel, equipment, materials, and services are aligned to plan.
    • Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Engineering.

    Tools, safety, and workplace

    • Operate within IQ Management software to enter orders, schedule jobs, and manage the production schedule.
    • Keep your work area clean and work safely at all times.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required; associate degree in a business field preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing office role focused on customer service and/or production planning; inside sales or account management preferred; purchasing experience a plus.
    • ERP familiarity and strong Microsoft Office skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; sound judgment and timely, fact-based decisions.
    • Independent, organized, and relentless about meeting customer commitments.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not required.
