Who we are
Lawrence Hall is a Chicago-based nonprofit social services agency that provides therapeutic, wellness, and skill development services to youth, families, and neighborhoods affected by lasting trauma. We foster healing and growth through empowerment, respect, safety, and teamwork.
Our Child & Family Treatment Center (CFTC) is a 24-hour residential program for DCFS- and ISBE-referred youth ages 8-18 who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. With a trauma-informed, outcomes-driven approach, we help youth heal from abuse, neglect, and trauma while building the skills they need to thrive.
About the Role
Reports directly to the Vice President of Residential and provides leadership, supervision, and clinical direction to the Licensed Milieu Supervisors (LMS) within the Child & Family Treatment Center (CFTC).
The primary purpose of this position is to leverage clinical expertise to identify gaps in services and develop partnerships with internal and external providers that enhance treatment and improve outcomes for youth. With leadership approval, the Clinical Manager is responsible for establishing collaborative relationships, facilitating contracts or service agreements as needed, and integrating new clinical or supportive services into the residential program.
The Clinical Manager provides program-wide clinical leadership by fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring treatment planning remains youth-centered, trauma-informed, and aligned with agency standards. This position oversees the implementation and coordination of clinical initiatives, supports the development of effective service delivery models, and promotes consistency across residential programming.
In addition, the Clinical Manager serves as a clinical resource to the program by participating in staffings, court hearings, Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTMs), and other youth-related meetings when additional clinical support is needed or when a Licensed Milieu Supervisor is unavailable. The position also provides coverage for vacant LMS positions to ensure continuity of clinical oversight, support to Core Teams, and uninterrupted guidance to residential staff.
Lawrence Hall fosters a culture built upon four core values: Respect, Empowerment, Safety, and Teamwork. These values are deeply embedded within our organization's philosophy of trauma-informed care and directly influence every position. This position must be able to effectively use both verbal and physical intervention skills with individuals six (6) through twenty-one (21) years of age. Physical intervention skills require the ability to kneel and return to standing without assistance
