The School of Professional and Continuing Studies invites applications for a Part-Time Program
Director to lead the development, day-to-day management and strategic oversight of the College
at 60 program.
This role is suited for an innovative and entrepreneurial leader committed to expanding access to
lifelong learning, with a particular focus on engaging and serving senior learners through high-
quality, inclusive programming.
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs, the Program Director will shape and
execute the vision for College at 60, overseeing program development, enrollment growth, and
community engagement. The Director will supervise a Program Assistant (dotted-line),
providing direction on operations, scheduling, and participant support.
The Director will play a central role in strengthening the program's visibility and impact by
building partnerships, enhancing program offerings, and fostering a dynamic learning
community for older adults both within the university and the external community.
Essential Functions
Provides strategic leadership for College at 60, including setting annual goals, identifying
opportunities for program growth, and aligning initiatives with Fordham University's mission and institutional priorities.
Leads the expansion and continuous improvement of online offerings, ensuring instructional quality, accessibility, and consistency with the program's established standards of excellence.
Oversees all faculty-related matters, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing development; foster a culture of teaching excellence and innovation that enhances the student experience.
Supervises, mentors, and supports the Program Assistant; direct day-to-day operations,
including program logistics and participant services.
Develops and implements a comprehensive marketing and recruitment strategy in
partnership with University stakeholders.
Designs and delivers student enrichment programming each term that promotes lifelong
learning, intellectual engagement, and social connection among participants.
Serves as a visible ambassador for College at 60, strengthening relationships with internal
and external partners and ensures alignment with Fordham's Jesuit values and
commitment to cura personalis.
Advises and supports the College at 60 student council, fostering student engagement and
collaboration for program outcomes.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree.
Experience with social media and basic digital communication tools.
