Commercial Escrow Assistant opportunity with our client.
The
Commercial Escrow Assistant is responsible for effectively managing the real estate closing transaction process. This position requires the Escrow Officer to exercise independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation which may arise during the escrow process.
Your specific duties will include:- Manage real estate transactions from contract through closing.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate the escrow process and facilitate the transfer of property ownership.
- Resolve title issues in partnership with the Title Examination team.
- Prepare and review closing documents and title insurance requirements.
- Conduct closings with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys.
- Verify funds, documentation, signatures, and legal requirements prior to disbursement and recording.
- Coordinate payoffs, taxes, HOA dues, and other closing-related financial obligations.
- Supervise and support the Escrow Assistant.
- Build and maintain client relationships to drive repeat business and new opportunities.
Required qualifications for the position include: - College degree and five years' experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
- Notary public or be bondable.
- Ability to deal with multiple types of roles such as real estate sellers, buyers, agents, and brokers.
- Strong communication, both verbal and written.
