Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys in all aspects of commercial litigation,
2. Assist in managing the litigation process from inception to conclusion, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files.
3. Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and ensure deadlines are met.
4. Use litigation support software to manage and organize electronic data related to litigation matters.
5. Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
6. Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses, including document production and deposition preparation.
7. Support attorneys in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, witness preparation, and trial logistics.
8. Perform administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings and hearings, maintaining attorney calendars, and managing client billing.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in commercial litigation.
2. Proficiency in litigation support software and other legal technologies.
3. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
5. A comprehensive understanding of legal terminology, court rules and procedures, and legal document formatting.
6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. High degree of professionalism and respect for confidentiality.
