Construction Contracts Administrator

Overview

Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking a qualified Construction Contracts Administrator in Havre de Grace, MD. Herzog is demolishing the existing Susquehanna River rail bridge and constructing in its place two new two-track bridge structures including five miles of new approach trackwork and civil works.

The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $155,000.00 annually. The pay range for this position is for the project assignment at Havre de Grace, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
• Negotiates business terms and conditions with suppliers and works with Legal and other internal and external stakeholders on resolution of contract terms, primarily purchase orders.
• Engages end users to gather business requirements to build RFPs or contract documents.
• Perform closeout of contracts, finalize outstanding contract issues, issue of final modifications, invoices and coordinate completion of contractor performance evaluations
• Conduct and maintain continuing review of progress of each contract and provides management with information pertaining to any financial, technical, or commercial difficulties
• Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action
• Leads cross functional sourcing initiatives including RFPs, bids, or other solicitation methods.
• Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited four (4) year degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with corporate law.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Must be highly motivated.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
• Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
• Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
