Job Description:

Reporting to Corporate Counsel, the Contracts Specialist is an analytical and customer focused individual with commercial contracts experience supporting business units through the Law Department. The position may also provide support in M&A integration and periodic training activities and special projects, as needed. The ideal candidate must work collaboratively with members of the Law Department as well as independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, negotiate and edit commercial contracts and terms and conditions
  • Experience with non-disclosure agreements, sales/supply/purchase agreements, consulting agreements, master agreements, review of customer proposed terms and conditions
  • Ensure agreement terms align with key business points
  • Apply AMETEK contracting policies and identify commercial and legal risk
  • Manage and update form documents to comply with legal and operational requirements
  • Communicate with business units and various levels of internal personnel to facilitate contract process
  • Investigate and resolve contractual issues
  • Assess business and legal risk and facilitate appropriate risk mitigation
  • Escalate legal and factual issues to assist in resolution of issues
  • Coordinate with Risk Management regarding contractual insurance requirements
  • Assist in training on contracting practices and procedures
  • Maintain quarterly litigation report and dashboard, seeking input from multiple sources
  • Maintenance of files and other records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 6-10 years of progressive responsibility in contract negotiation, administration and/or management or legal and/or sales operations
  • Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
