Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Location: Addison, Illinois. This is a hands-on, primarily in-office position where you'll work closely with leadership and operations teams. Occasional remote flexibility is available when personal matters arise.

Note: Direct construction accounting experience is required. Candidates with experience in job costing and construction financial operations will be strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting activities.
• Maintain job costing and work-in-progress reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Partner with ownership and operations leadership on financial strategy.
• Manage banking relationships and support audits.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend process improvements.
• Provide leadership and support to accounting functions.
• Help drive the financial success of the organization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience required.
• Direct construction accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of job costing and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management preferred.
• Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.
• CPA is a plus.
