We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent Controller to join our team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in our financial management team, contributing significantly to the strategic growth and financial stability of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, development of internal control policies, and financial risk management.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and executive leadership.
3. Supervise the investment and cash management strategies of the company.
4. Monitor, direct, and implement all necessary internal controls.
5. Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls necessary for the provision of accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
6. Oversee the timely and accurate reporting of financial information, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
7. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
8. Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
9. Manage and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role in the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
4. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
5. Strong experience in both the private and public sector is preferred.
6. Proven leadership skills with a history of driving financial success and team development.
7. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
8. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
10. Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
12. Strong business and common sense.
