The North America Engineering Controller is responsible for the monthly activities of our Engineering Seating and Safety BU's including month-end close accounting journal entries, month-end variance analysis, monthly forecasts including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, yearly profit plans, yearly business plans, ad-hoc reporting, and monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations. The Controller will work closely with each BU's Engineers on purchase requisition creation and various approvals, and the ENG and BU Directors on expense and headcount strategy, and cross charges.
Main Responsibilities
Create and post month-end close journal entries
Prepare post month-end analyses including Ops, KPI's, bridges, and expense analysis
Timely reporting of all key financial information for both business units
Continuously improve financial reporting analyses
React timely on any requests from external parties
Work with BU Directors to obtain TBL for use in development and loading of yearly profit plan including maintenance of all working files including multiple revisions and details for all assumptions. This includes P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting
Work with BU Directors to obtain TBL for use in development and loading of yearly business plan including maintenance of working files including multiple revisions and details for all assumptions. This includes P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting
Leverage knowledge regarding program spend, open PO's, and HR requirements to develop monthly Outlooks and 12 month forecasts. This includes P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting
Use the published freight files and freight run rate to develop freight Outlooks for incorporation into Outlooks and forecasts.
Work with related parties to ensure proper IC3 postings
Prepare monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations. Approve BS reconciliations from other ENG ledgers.
Preparation of half yearly Financial Statement footnotes
