Job Summary:
We are looking for a self-motivated, and responsible individual with demonstrated experience in general accounting and ready to take the next step into management and mentoring a team. This position will interact with all levels of the organization.

Essential Duties:  
The Controller will perform the following key functions:
  • Manage general accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable personnel and activities
  • Responsible for timely and accurately publishing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including budget to actual variances
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Work with AP or AR and/or prepare revenue and/or expense accruals as needed
  • FP&A development, analysis and explanations on project revenue and/or margin variances
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules; insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals
  • Approve vendor ACH/Wire payments within Bank platform
  • Review/approve AP batches for posting
  • Approve new vendor setups
  • Prepare annual property tax renditions or provide data to outside partners for rendition preparation
  • Support third party sales tax vendor by providing reports, answering questions
  • Ensure year ending 1099 reporting Is completed timely and accurately
  • Lead annual financial audit, 401k, workers comp and GL premium audits
  • Answers GAAP, accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Become an ERP SME
 
Qualifications 
  • Have owner mindset of financials and accounting processes
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an analytic approach
  • Commitment to integrity
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business required
  • 10+ years working experience in a progressive responsibility accounting role with supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience working with ERP Systems (Dynamics SL, Sage Intacct, NetSuite)
  • Prior variance analysis to Include budget to actual; margin; budgets; forecasts
  • CPA required
