The Cook 2 position involves preparing, cooking, and serving meals for athletic events and catering, leading a team, and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities include directing meal prep, managing staff, assisting with ordering and training, and acting as supervisor in the manager’s absence. The role requires physical activity, standing for long periods, and working in hot, humid, or cold environments.
Qualifications include two years of institutional or commercial cooking experience or an associate’s degree in related fields. Leadership and experience with large groups are preferred.
Applicants must obtain necessary certifications (food handler’s card, OLCC server’s permit) within 90 days and pass background checks. This is a 9-month, full-time position with variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
