The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Cook with fine dining experience to join our Dining Services team. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who takes pride in scratch cooking, quality presentation, and consistency, and who enjoys working in a structured, resident-focused setting. What You'll Do- Prepare high-quality meals from scratch, including soups, sauces, seafood, meats, and daily specials.
- Follow a rotating 5-week menu while maintaining flexibility for resident preferences.
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation through proper tasting and adjustments.
- Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Support the Executive Chef and Director of Dining with daily kitchen operations.
- Work collaboratively with the dining team to ensure timely, exceptional service.
What We're Looking For- Minimum of 5 years of professional cooking experience.
- Fine dining experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in restaurants, healthcare, or retirement communities is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of scratch cooking, food safety, and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to safe food handling and sanitation.
