Job Summary:

Windows Catering is seeking a skilled and motivated Cook II to join our distinguished culinary team. As a mid-level position, the Cook II plays a vital role in food preparation, execution, and the mentorship of entry-level team members. This opportunity is ideal for culinary professionals with foundational experience who are eager to refine their skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, luxury catering experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute intermediate-level culinary tasks, including sauces, proteins, grains, and event-specific menu items, with consistency and precision.
• Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to Cook I team members under the direction of sous chefs and supervisors.
• Assist in production scheduling to ensure prep is completed efficiently and in alignment with event timelines.
• Maintain kitchen organization by ensuring all workstations and prep areas are properly cleaned, stocked, and labeled.
• Uphold Windows Catering’s standards for food quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Participate in off-premise event support, including pack-out and on-site service execution as needed.
• Model proper sanitation practices while ensuring adherence to food safety, storage, and temperature control guidelines.
• Communicate inventory needs and product shortages to supervisors in a timely manner to maintain seamless production flow.
• Demonstrate initiative in learning new recipes, techniques, and plating standards to advance culinary expertise.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by kitchen leadership to support overall operational excellence.
