Rate of Pay - Depends on Experience
Must be available to work weekends.
Job Specific Duties Include:
- Prepares, seasons and cooks appealing and nutritious meals for residents, employees and guests.
- Determines food consumption and requirements in determining all food to be prepared.
- Assures food contact surface areas are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained in good condition prior to contact with foods.
- Adheres to prescribed methods of food preparation, cooking and portion sizes.
- Assures that raw foods are kept separate from ready-to-eat foods in the handling and storage of the foods.
- Assures that appropriate cutting boards are utilized and that they are cleaned and sanitized before and after each use.
- Tests cooked food for taste and appeal.
- Covers and stores any left over and/or unused foods promptly and labels/dates product according to food safety regulations.
