About the Role General Hotels Corporation is seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Line Cook to join Crowne Plaza Downtown Indianapolis Union Station. This position plays an essential role in delivering quality meals and exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As a Line Cook, you will prepare menu items according to company standards while maintaining food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and safety. What You'll Do - Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and brand standards
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and ingredient setup
- Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to management
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products
- Assist with banquet and special event food preparation as needed
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff
- Support daily opening, closing, and cleaning procedures
What You'll Bring - Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
